New for Apple Watch

MERLIN makes you a wizard.

With only a wave of your hand, you control the world.

“Turn it up in the kitchen.” “Pause the music.” “Send Mary a voice note.” “Run my wrap-up on the Mac.” “Approve.” “Quieter.” “Play in the living room.” “Turn it up in the kitchen.” “Pause the music.” “Send Mary a voice note.” “Run my wrap-up on the Mac.” “Approve.” “Quieter.” “Play in the living room.”

The film

Twenty seconds.
One wave.

Sound on.

One wave. The music rises. The job gets done. The world answers.

MERLIN is an AI-first communicator that lives on your Apple Watch. Speak, twist or tap, and things happen in the real world: your music, your Mac, the people you love. And it never claims a success that didn’t happen.

WAND

Twist your wrist.
Turn up the room.

Hold your arm out and roll your wrist. MERLIN feels each 15° detent and moves the volume two points at a time. Smoothing ignores a tremble. A sudden jerk is thrown out.

Twist

Detents you can feel

Each 15° of roll is one step, with a tick on your wrist. Coming back to center never sends the volume the other way.

Steady, not twitchy

Motion is smoothed at 25 Hz, steps are spaced at least a quarter second apart, and extra steps are dropped, never sent late in a burst.

Sessions, not surveillance

WAND only listens to motion while a session is open, and the session closes on its own when you stop.

The room listens.

DISPATCH

Ask once.
Know it’s done.

Hand MERLIN a multi-step job. It plans it, runs it, stops for your OK on anything sensitive, and reads the result back before it tells you. “Accepted” and “done” even feel different on your wrist.

READ

Just answers.

Looking things up runs immediately. Nothing changes.

REVERSIBLE WRITE

Runs, then shows you.

Changes you can undo go ahead and report back what actually happened.

SENSITIVE WRITE

Waits for your yes.

Anything you can’t take back pauses and asks on your wrist first.

CONNECT

Your voice.
Not a text box.

Raise your wrist and talk. Voice notes of up to a minute go to the people you’ve both agreed to hear from. Encrypted, and gone a day after they’re played.

Take a closer look.

Twist for volume. Roll your wrist and the room follows, one detent at a time.

Your world.
One word away.

Everything else,
built in.

Touch-free

Raise your wrist and talk. MERLIN sends when you stop speaking, and the answer clears itself. Approvals still take a tap.

Lights and scenes

Switch lights and run scenes through Home Assistant, HomeKit accessories included. Every change is read back.

Usage you can see

Smart requests and live voice time are counted in the app, so you always know what’s left this month.

Delete means delete

Clear your history or delete your account and everything in it from Settings.

No pretend success

MERLIN checks the real state before it says done. If it can’t confirm, it tells you.

Routine is instant

Volume, play and pause go straight through, with no AI in the loop. The Claude planner steps in only for the hard stuff.

A Mac agent with manners

Lives in your menu bar and runs only the handlers you declare. No shell, ever.

Sonos, built in

Every room, by name. Connect your Sonos account, or talk to the speakers directly on your home network.

iPhone companion

Set up, invite people to CONNECT, and look over jobs on the bigger screen.

Sign in with Apple

No new password. No new account to babysit.

On your watch face

A complication and an Ask MERLIN shortcut put it one tap or one phrase away.

Dictate or talk

Use the system dictation you already know, or switch on direct voice in Settings.

See it on your wrist.

Ask once. MERLIN does it, checks it worked, and tells you.

Privacy

Magic that
keeps a secret.

The mic is off.

It turns on only while you’re recording, and it stops the moment you leave the screen.

Nothing leaves early.

A voice note stays on your watch until you tap Send. The recording is deleted once it’s read.

You hold the keys.

Sensitive actions need your approval, and the Mac agent can’t run anything you didn’t declare.

MERLIN Pro

More spells.

Commands, gestures, buttons and CONNECT are free and unlimited. Pro gives you six times the smart requests and an hour of live voice every month.

Questions.

No. The microphone is on only while you’re recording: up to 15 seconds for a command and 60 for a voice note. Leave the screen and it stops.
